26th Annual Greenwich Concours d’Elegance
Greenwich,Connecticut
June 5th
The 26th Annual Greenwich Concours d’Elegance was held from June 3-5, 2022 and was the place to see some of the most prestigious marques throughout the automotive age. Not only were the cars beautiful to look at, but the owners shared stories that were even more interesting. Including bullet holes from world war II on motocycles and an Alfa Romeo bought by a father and son at auction for over a million dollars after they had too much to drink.
The Greenwich Concours d’Elegance is a great event for car enthusiasts and those who appreciate the beauty of classic cars. It is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of the automotive industry and to appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into these cars.
The Kid‘s Zone offers racing simulators, games, and coloring stations, while adults can take part in the Hagerty‘s Ride & Drive, which puts enthusiasts behind the wheel of cars selected from the Hagerty Learning Garage. Test drive vehicles included a 1960 Plymouth Fury, 1963 Lincoln Continental, 1970 Dodge Challenger, 1971 Ford Bronco, 2017 Ferrari 488 GTB, and 2017 Lamborghini Huracan Spyder. Not bad for a Sunday drive.
Out of the 125 vehicles on the lawn at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, fifty–seven judges from across the globe selected a Vignale–bodied 1948 Packard Convertible Victoria as Best in Show. This car was a true testament to the craftsmanship and beauty of the automotive industry.
This event is sure to be a memorable one for all who attend, and a great opportunity to experience the automotive age.
