Fistral Beach UK
August 13th, 2016
Just off the shore side of Fistral Beach and sprinkled with just the right amount of glitter, the artistic Suzie Mac took the stage at the 2016 Board Masters Festival.
Opening with the moving “Amazing Grace”, her stunning voice quickly drew in those on the beach who were viewing the Surf semi-finals into the music stage area. The more she sang, the more the space filled.
Her powerful, but sweet vocals took us through a journey of music covering everything from gospel to rock to country. She is one of the few that is brave enough to cover Adele’s “When We Were Young” and make it as moving as the original.
Playing a great mix of cover tunes and her own originals, she had the crowd captivated as well as jumping and dancing– like when she performed her new tune “Rehab”. There really was something for everyone in attendance.
Suzie Mac travels a great deal throughout Cornwall, playing both festivals and solo shows. I highly recommend catching her if you are lucky enough to find yourself in the UK!
Amazing Grace, Unbreakable Us (Lucie Silvas), When We Were Young (Adele cover), Letters to Ghosts (Lucie Silvas), Please Hold My Hand, Trouble, Tennessee Whiskey, Never Too Late to Change, River of Gold, Rehab
