War

The Great South Bay Music Festival

July 21st, 2019

By Robert Tellerman

As the sun set on Shorefront Park in Patchogue, Long Island on the hottest day of the year so far, legendary funk rock band War delivered an extraordinary set at the 13th annual The Great South Bay Music Festival.

Founding member Lonnie Jordan looked and sounded great as he sang classic War songs like “Spill The Wine” and “Low Rider”. The rest of the band including Stuart Ziff on guitar, Marcos J. Reyes on percussion, Scott Martin on sax, Stanley “The Baron” Behrens on harmonica, Rene Camacho on bass and Sal Rodrigues on drums also sounded great and didn’t miss a single beat and also sounded amazing.

The band is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and still sounds better than ever. For future tour dates check out the band’s website here .
